How to Target the Best Internet Advertising Search Engine Optimization Handbook?

Do you know what the first step to improve your ranking is? If you said “a proper search engine marketing book”, then you did it right

As a matter of fact, internet surfers use Google to find their potential providers in case they plan to buy something online. Furthermore, real and trusted statistics show that around 60% of the organic traffic comes from Google.

In case you have no idea what the definition of organic traffic is, it is the non-sponsored results that appear on Google as a response to any search query typed by the internet surfers. It is free of charge and Google does not charge you for this service.

Hence, it makes sense to invest time and energy in learning search engine ranking optimization with the aid of ethical methods to finally see your website on Google’s first page.

To this end, it is really needed to select an outstanding company that provides well designed search engine marketing book.

And the motivation behind writing this article is to help in your choosing process. So, discover now 5 reasonable checks to consider when you plan to buy your next SEO handbook.

1. Check their achievements.

It seems to be a clear point to check but around 90% of the beginners overlook one of the most important points. As soon as they see that the owner of this search engine marketing book has a top position on Google’s first page for certain keywords, they buy from him.

Stop! Do not be excited by an achievement that it is not that impressive. Do not forget to check how high or low the competition of these keyword is.

It is relatively easy and does not show high credibility to be on Google’s first page for a keyword that does not suffer from high competition.

To check this in a wise way, type these targeted keywords in quotes and let Google tell you how many other websites are optimized for the same keywords. If the results are approximately thousands of websites that are optimized for the same keyword, then it should be fine.

2. Never forget to check their page rank on Google.

You do not need to hear from everybody talking about search engine ranking optimization, but you should learn from a real expert. It makes sense, right?

Therefore, do not forget to check their page rank as I have personally experienced several companies that offer SEO services and they have 0 page rank on Google.

Usually, a good page rank starts from 2 and it can be till 4. In case the owner of a search engine marketing book has a website of page rank higher than 4, I would really trust him enough to get his product.

However, do not assign high value to this factor more than it should be. It is just a sole factor among other important factors. You should know how to check site page rank, and on the way to do so, install Google tool bar that fits to your browser.

3. Do not forget to see when they registered their domain.

We have to admit that a lot of companies are working around with very decent offers and discounts and few months later, they will disappear.

Therefore, the risk to be cheated by an internet scam is minimized when you deal with a company that enjoys a famous name in the market.

Based on my past lessons learned in handling a lot of deals with search engine optimization (SEO) consulting, I believe that if a company succeeded to stand alone in our competitive niche for 3-5 years, then it would be fine to pass this check.

4. Check their customer service.

This factor is unfortunately ignored by most of the beginners when they plan to select their company or consultant.

I overlooked checking the customer service of one of the companies which sold SEO books for me and it was really a serious mistake.

A wise idea and nice check is to mail them with some tough questions, e.g. money back guarantee, to see how and when they will mail you back.

A typical needed time by most respected companies to answer the emails is 24-48 hours.

5. Check other minor factors.

The list from 1 to 4 is the most important factors based on my personal experiences and lessons learned. However, I listed for you some further minor checks that you should not ignore either:

- Have a look about the internal structure of the website and how the inner pages are linked.

An outstanding company or consultant should own a website that presents professionalism in organizing the website into proper set of categories and subcategories. Furthermore, a proper internal linkage of the inner pages of any website should be done using anchor text instead of pictures.

- Do they have a blog or forum where their current customers or future customers can drop down by and leave their questions?

In case yes, it would be counted as a positive credit for this company. Have a look at this blog or forum to formulate an idea about others experiences with this company and do not forget to check the answers of this consultant, if they exist.

- It would be a good idea asking them a trial version of their book represented in offering you 1 or 2 chapters for free?

Serious authors of legitimate search engine marketing books have nothing to be ashamed of. Any way, it is normally possible to get the table of contents free of charge.

- I would be very skeptical, if a company tells me that they can “guarantee” top position, e.g. #3, on Google’s first page.

It is feasible to rank well on Google and enjoy a top position for your website but no one can guarantee that you keep the exact position as Google updates its algorithms very periodically and you have to keep yourself informed.

Finally, my last words for you are some quick but incredible powerful tips that are mentioned in almost every respected search engine marketing book:

- Avoid black-hat SEO training: You should not try to cheat Google and I would not even think to do it.

- Building back links using free link exchange submission sites is a good idea.

- It is a wise idea to consider all these absolutely free to submit search engines and web directories.

Consider the check-list written above to be able to target the best word of mouth marketing SEO book.

Get More Free Traffic to Your Website: Improve Your Search Engine Rankings

Firstly, let me clarify now what a search engine ranking is. When someone makes a search in a search service like Google, Yahoo, MSN or many of the numerous smaller search services, they type in something they want to know about – this is called a ’search query’. When they enter that ‘query’ they are then presented by a whole list of results that search service has decided in their mysterious way are relevant search results to the query you want information on. This list of search results is often termed Organic Search Results. These are different to the Sponsored Search Results that often appear down the right hand margin of the search results page, and sometimes can appear at the top of the page shaded in a slightly different background colour.

These Sponsored Search Results are merely adverts placed by those whose websites are linked by the adverts. These advertisers pay to have their adverts appear when certain words or phrases (known as keywords) are typed into the search company’s services. Because these advertisers pay only when someone clicks on their specific advert, these search results are often referred to as PPC or pay-per-click results, which is why they are termed ’sponsored’ results.

Getting positioned (ranked) high with these PPC adverts is a completely specialised area, and one I’ll avoid discussing now as it’s a completely separate subject in itself, as this information now is focused on discussing ways to get highly ranked using the organic search results.

Getting “highly ranked” simply means that when someone types in a search query into a search service like Google, then the closer your website appears visible to being on page 1 of the search results, and then the higher up that page 1 you appear, the greater likelihood there is the person searching will then click on your website. If you appeared low down the results, say page 12, it’s pretty obvious that the person searching for results is highly unlikely to ever look that far through all the search results, especially when you consider that on each page of search results there is on average about 10 search results, so being on page 12 would mean the person searching would have to scroll through over 100 search results before they even came close to finding your website.

The key is pretty clear – aim to get on page 1 of the search results, and then as high up the page (preferably in the top 3 results), which then gives you the greatest chance that your website will get seen and people will visit it.

The obvious benefit over Organic search results as opposed to Sponsored (PPC) search results is whenever anyone finds your website and clicks on it with in the Organic results list, it costs you nothing! Whereas if you had placed a PPC ad to appear in the Sponsored results list, you have to pay every time someone clicks on your advert (regardless of whether you’ve sold them anything from your website or not).

There is also another great advantage to using Organic search as a way to drive people to your website, as opposed to Sponsored search, and that is the credibility of the results. People entering a ’search query’ will more often feel that the results that come back via Organic search results are far more believable and valid to solving what their query relates to then Sponsored search results. The reason for that is most folks are now aware that the Sponsored results are all adverts paid for by the advertisers of those websites, and so they believe that person is paying to get ranked (as in fact they are), which in turn undermines the true value of that search result as credible in the eyes of the person searching “oh, that only appeared on the search results ’cause they paid to be there” is in their minds.

The difference with Organic results is the searcher ‘believes’ that what appears in their organic search results list is true, real and of genuine value to their quest in solving the answer to their query.
